Recently Year 11 students at our school were able to spend time planning their post-16 steps. In addition to a number of assemblies from different post-16 providers we have also heard from local employers and apprenticeship providers – including getting to hear from Ellie who only left Wickersley a few months ago but is currently enjoying her time as an apprentice with Burrows Toyota in Wickersley.
Every student has also had the experience of a formal ‘mock interview’ with visiting professionals, student feedback from this suggests that they have found this really useful in helping them feel more confident about their next steps.
